Express Entry Canada 2015—Yet Another Look

The year 2015 has been promising for those who are determined to move to Canada. The reason is well known. The Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has introduced Express Entry system–a system to manage the application for various federal economic programmes such as:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Programme (FSWP),
  • Federal Skilled Trades Programme (FSTP),
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC),
  • portion of the Provincial Nominee Programmes (PNPs)

The system is exclusively developed for skilled workers who have a special affinity with the status of Permanent Residence (PR). The CIC has introduced the system with certain motive–to meet the demand of the local labor market and boost the country’s economy.

Those who want to migrate to Canada through the Express Entry System 2015 should know that the system is point based, and each applicant is purely selected on the basis of his merit. For the first time, first come first serve norm has been done away with. Instead only the most efficient, with the ability to contribute towards the national economy, will be given an opportunity to live and work in the Maple Leaf Country.

Also known as the Expression of Interest (EoI), if you want to take the advantage of the present system, then you should have a clear picture about processing of the entire system. The important feature of the newly introduced system is that it is an easy passage for those with sharp skills in a particular occupation. If the skilled professionals are in shortage in that particular occupation than their chances of getting a visa through Express Entry system are extremely high.

Hence the first step is to create a online profile. Once you are done with the first step, the CIC will evaluate your profile, and if you are eligible for any of the Federal Economic Programmes, you will be placed in the Express Entry Pool against other applicants.

Second step will include issuing ‘Invitation to Apply’. Candidates with high points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) are likely to get an ITA and will have a maximum of 60 days to claim PR online.

Latest news related to Express Entry is that in the month of April seventh draw has already taken place issuing nearly 925 invitations to applicants with more than 469 CRS points.

Unlike the first four draws in which importance was given to applicants either with a job offer from a Canadian employer, or a provincial/territorial  nomination, the latest draw is the third consecutive draw in which the CIC has selected applicants without a prior job offer from a Canadian employer or a Provincial/territorial nomination.

Very lately the Land of opportunities has secured the top rank worldwide for opportunities and positive results for tolerance for those who come and live in Canada from overseas.
